##PLEASE NOTE WE ARE CLOSED FROM Monday 6th January to Monday 3rd February 2025 for our annual holiday. We close every JANUARY about this time for about 4 weeks although the dates may vary each year. DURING THAT TIME WE CANNOT CONFIRM BOOKING REQUESTS as we will not have access to our phones .HOWEVER IT IS VERY UNLIKELY WE WILL BE FULL ON ANY DATES ATHOUGH THE LAST 2 WEEKS OFF FEBRUARY ARE ALWAYS EXTREMELY BUSY.##
We are Mandy and David the new owners of Westwinds Cattery since October 2014, (which originally opened in 1990). The Cattery is set in a quiet and secluded garden overlooking the Romney Marsh. It has been known for its caring nature and high standards ensuring your pet's welfare and comfort comes first and we intend for this to continue. Please don't hesitate to contact us and arrange a visit to meet us and view the cattery.
We quickly realised that a complete rebuild was essential for the future of the cattery. We applied for and received planning permission on 28th August 2015.
We decided to use Peticular Pens, the chosen provider of all new Cat Buildings for the RSPCA, who specialise in bespoke UPVc catteries. Each chalet has an 'A' rated sleeping area, with individual thermostatically controlled heating and lighting. The unique mesh window system in the safety corridor brings the outside inside.
The work was completed in Spring 2016, giving us a total of 18 Double Chalets and 2 Large Family Chalets.
Our first project was to refurbish the Cattery reception area which customers have told us looks modern and professional.
We have owned cats ourselves for over 25 years, which has allowed us to gain a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of cat care and health. This is helped by having a good working relationship with our local vets, who are always at hand if needed. Westwinds is completely family run so we can ensure that all hygiene standards are met and adhered to. We are also able to provide individual attention to your cat(s) during their stay with us.
